Organizing 101
Building a union is about building community with your coworkers. Start by gathering contact information from your peers, hosting gatherings and events to build trust and solidarity, and identifying a group of people who can be your organizing committee. Ideally, these are workers from different divisions and areas of your park or office.
If you can build interest and relationships, gather personal contact information, and get folks bought in to the idea of unionizing, it will be a lot easier to get the word out and get official interest forms signed when you’re ready to make it official.
